Policies: 
- For cancellations or rescheduling, we require notification by phone at least 24 hours (one full business day) in advance.  A fee will be charged for cancellations not meeting this requirement.
 
- Medical services including prescriptions, telehealth consultations, sick pet exams and euthanasia are limited to active patient accounts.  
 
- In order for an account to remain active, a patient must receive annual preventive care. We inactivate a patient’s account after 18 months have passed without a preventive exam. Reactivation requires going onto the waitlist.
 
- If your pet shows signs of stress, anxiety or fear-aggression that otherwise inhibits a proper medical exam, your pet will need sedation, behavioral consult with future premedication or referral.
 
- If in-home care is not possible or appropriate, your pet will receive a referral to a clinic.
 
- Payment is due at the time of services. 
Accepted payment types: Visa, Mastercard, Venmo, Discover, American Express, cash and check. Care Credit is not accepted due to its company policy.  Unpaid invoices older than 30 days will be charged a $30.00 late fee. 
- New clients:  As well as all active client policies above, you must be a resident of the Madison-area. You must be able to catch and control your pets for their care visits. Unless your pet has had a documented negative reaction, Dr. Pike requires core vaccines and strongly recommends lifestyle vaccines.
